Coleman and Council as a Whole <br />MOTION BY: councilman Chuck Brunello, Jr. <br />SECONDED BY: Counci 1 man Leo R T.omharc~~ <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A MUTUAL EXCHANGE OF <br />SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF MAYFIELD <br />HEIGHTS AND THE VILLAGE OF MAYFIELD TO PROVIDE FOR <br />THE MUTUAL EXCHANGE OF LIFEGUARD SERVICES DURING <br />THE 2014 SUMMER SEASON, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, it is the expressed desire of Mayfield Village, Highland Heights and <br />Mayfield Heights to enter into a Mutual Exchange of Services Agreement for the interchange <br />of reciprocal emergency management assistance or aid in the form of lifeguard services <br />between and among their municipalities, as deemed necessary, when current staffmg is <br />deemed inadequate; and <br />WHEREAS, this mutual exchange of services agreement will allow for the provision <br />of reciprocal services across jurisdictional lines, enhance the capabilities of each community <br />to provide lifeguard staff to meet staffing requirements, and extend recreational pool access <br />through.Labor Day weekend for at least one (1) of the three (3) municipal pools. Now, <br />therefore, <br />WHEREAS, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a Mutual <br />Exchange of Services Agreement with the City of Highland Heights and the Village of <br />Mayfield to provide for the mutual exchange of lifeguarding services during the 2014 summer <br />season, generally in the form attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A", and incorporated herein as <br />if fully rewritten, subject to the approval of the Director of Law. <br />SECTION 2. That the Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this <br />Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this <br />Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal <br />action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory <br />requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />
