Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION THANHING AND CONGRATULATING <br />HAYFIELD VILLAGE PATROL OFFICER WILLIAM ANNANDONO <br />FOR OVER TWENTY-SIX YEARS OF DEDICATION AND SERVICE <br />ON BEHALF OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE <br />WHEREAS, Officer William Annandono began his career with the Cleveland Heights Police Department as a <br />basic patrol officer in September of 1974. In February.of 1977, he worked as a Firefighter for East Cleveland. He <br />then worked as a Fire Prevention Inspector from 1.981-1983 in Saudi Arabia. In 1988, Officer William Annandono <br />joined our Mayfield Village Police Department working patrol. <br />WHEREAS, after working in the Detective Bureau for 10 years, Mayfield High School created the full-time <br />position of School Resource Officer. Officer William Annandono began working in that position, acting as a liaison <br />o~tweeri the School and Police Department, assisting Administration, providing staff support and safety information <br />and taking police reports. He also served as the Juvenile Diversion Officer, ran the DARE program at Center School <br />for 13 years and was on the SPAN Bomb Squad for 9 years as a past-blast investigator. <br />WHEREAS, on June 13, 2014, Officer William Annandono retired from the Mayfield Village Police <br />Department. <br />WHEREAS, William Annandono's professional and personal service to Mayfield Village will surely be <br />missed by his friends and cq~leagues. He should be highly comt~e~lded fo}~ his commitment and dedication to the <br />Village, work ethic, integrity and compassion for others. We are proud to do so, with this Resolution honoring his <br />meritorious conduct. <br />THAT: <br />NOV6V, THEREFORE, BE tT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF'MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, <br />V6~illiam Annandono be and is hereby recognized <br />for his over thirty-two (32) years of public service, twenty-six (26) years <br />of which were in dedication and tireless service to Mayfield Village. <br />SECTION 1. The Village of Mayfield, its Mayor, Council, residents, employers, employees and officials <br />wish to thank William Annandono for many his years of dedicated service on behalf of the Village and congratulate <br />him on his retirement. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of the Council relating to the adoption <br />of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its <br />committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public in compliance with all statutory <br />requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to prepare duplicate original copies of <br />this Resolution. One such original shall be presented to William Annandono. The other original shall be placed in the <br />permanent records of the Village as a lasting tribute to William Annandono. <br />SECTION 4. This resolution shall become effective upon its adoption by Council and the signature of the <br />Mayor, or as may otherwise be provided by law. <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTED <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />J <br />ATTEST: <br />G~~~ <br />
