NVFD will also <br />maintain service records of all equipment acquired for a minimal period of three years in order to <br />meet the terms of the grant. <br />-NVFD will provide a copy of the Request for Proposal that wi1L outline the Scott or MSA <br />SCBAs and accessories`to all departments prior to the bid period officially .being opened. Any <br />department that has a special request that thc~~ ~i`ui~ldlike tc~'see placed on~the proposal should <br />contact NVFD. <br />-Per AFG & FEMA rules and regulations, all participating'departments must comply with The <br />US Department of Homeland Sectu•ity AFGP Agreement Articles. Additionally, All <br />participating departments acknowledge that all equipment purchased through this project remains <br />an asset of the federal government and NVFD echnically owns all equipment purchased since <br />they served as the host department. After a time period of three (3) years, AFG allows NVFD to <br />"gift" all acquired equipment to each respective department and transfer ownership. <br />- Participating departments shall be eligible to purchase one (1)SCBA per seated position on fire <br />department apparatus and it must replace a 1992/1.997/2002 NFPA Standard SCBA. <br />Departments may also purchase additional face pieces to ensure all firefighters are issued their <br />own face piece that is fit tested and sized correctly for them. Each department will be allowed to <br />purchase one (1) face piece per active firefighter on their roster. Additionally, departments may <br />request certain components, such as voice amps, to upgrade and replace their current stock of <br />equipment to meet the specs of the equipment being purchased. <br />-Each department will be required to have annual service testing conducted on each SCBA <br />purchased under the terms of the grants for a period of at least three years.
