RESOLUTION N0.2014-28 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING <br />THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />CHAGRIN RIVER WATERSHED PARTNERS <br />FOR ADMINISTRATION OF THE <br />OHIO ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY (OHIO EPA) <br />SURFACE WATER IMPROVEMENT FUND (SWIF) <br />GRANT REPORTING FOR THE HAYFIELD VILLAGE CIVIC CENTER <br />STORMWATER RETROFIT DEMONSTRATION PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an application filed by Mayfield Village, and in coordination with <br />the Chagrin River Watershed Partners, the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, (the "Ohio <br />EPA"), has granted and awarded to the Village a State Surface Water Improvement Grant in the <br />amount of One Hundred and Twenty-Six Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($126,500.00); and <br />WHEREAS, this Grant has been awarded to facilitate the installation of approximately <br />7,100 sq. feet of permeable pavement at the Mayfield Village Civic Center parking lot and address <br />run-off from approximately 20,000 sq. feet of existing asphalt parking lot, also known as the <br />Mayfield Village Civic Center Storm Water Retrofit Demonstration Project; and <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village wishes to utilize the services of the Chagrin River <br />Watershed Partners, Inc. to administer the grant with the Ohio EPA. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor and President of Council are hereby and herein authorized <br />and directed to enter into a Contract Agreement with the Chagrin River Watershed Partners, Inc. <br />for the Mayfield Village Civic Center Stormwater Retrofit Demonstration Project for the contract <br />period beginning September 15, 2014 to June 30, 2016, referenced hereto and incorporated herein <br />as Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and <br />that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place <br />in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />
