RESOLUTION NO. 2013-06 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR <br />TO ENTER INTO A COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS <br />AGREEMENT ADDING MAYFIELD VILLAGE AS A MEMBER <br />OF THE GOVERNING BOARD OF THE <br />COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP ON AGING <br />WHEREAS, the Council of Governments that serves as the governing board of the <br />Community Partnership on Aging, currently consists of the member cities of South Euclid, <br />Lyndhurst, Highland Heights and Mayfield Heights; and <br />WHEREAS the Community Partnership on Aging provides senior residents with <br />various essential services such as social work services, administrative services, senior <br />programming and volunteer services; and <br />WHEREAS, in 2012, the Community Partnership on Aging provided programs and <br />services to Mayfield Village for the benefit of its senior residents; and <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of December 17, 2012, Mayfield Village Council approved <br />the expenditure for the renewal of services for 2013; and <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village wishes to join Lyndhurst, South Euclid, Highland <br />Heights and Mayfield Heights as a member of the Council of Governments to govern the <br />Community Partnership on Aging and wishes to permit a resident of Mayfield Village, <br />appointed by the Mayor, to serve on the Community Partnership on Aging Commission. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Mayor and President of Council are hereby authorized to enter into <br />the Council of Governments Agreement adding Mayfield Village, Ohio as an additional <br />member on the Board governing the Community Partnership on Aging and adding a Mayfield <br />Village resident to the Community Partnership on Aging Commission. Said Agreement is <br />attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; <br />and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, <br />took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements <br />including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
