J <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011-10 <br />Introduced by Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR <br />TO SEEK FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE <br />STATE ISSUE I INFRASTRUCTURE BOND PROGRAM <br />FOR FUNDING OF PHASE I OF THE SEWER PROJECT ON <br />EASTGATE, MEADOWOOD, RAVINE, THORNAPPLE, <br />ROBLEY AND A PORTION OF WILSON MILLS ROAD <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the State Capital Improvement .Program and the Local Transportation <br />Improvement Program both provide financial assistance to political subdivisions for capital <br />improvements to public infrastructure; and <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village is planning atwo-phase capital improvements project for <br />Eastgate, Meadowood, Ravine, Thornapple, Robley and a portion of Wilson Mills Road; and <br />WHEREAS, the first phase projected for this project is the installation of sanitary sewer <br />on Eastgate and Meadowood, and the second phase project is for sewer installation on <br />Thornapple, Robley, Ravine, and a portion of Wilson Mills; and <br />WHEREAS, the infrastructure improvement hereinabove described is considered to be a <br />priority need for the community and is a qualified project under the Ohio Public Works <br />Commission's programs; and <br />WHEREAS, the Village has conducted a capital inventory and needs assessment and has <br />determined that it is necessary to submit applications for financial assistance for Capital <br />Infrastructure Improvement Projects. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to apply directly to the Ohio Public Works <br />Commission for all of the following capital infrastructure improvement projects: <br />1) SEWER PROJECTS ON THE FOLLOWING ROADS: <br />Eastgate <br />Meadowood <br />Ravine (connection) <br />Thornapple <br />Robley <br />A piece of Wilson Mills Road <br />
