C~uL ~o~n A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION TO THE VOLUNTEERS WHO HELPED TO BUILD THE MAYFIELD VILLAGE WETLANDS BRIDGE WHEREAS, Eagle Scout candidate David Girbino from Troup 433 submitted a plan to Service Director Doug Metzung to build a bridge at the wetlands located in Mayfield Village, Ohio. WHEREAS, this project was something the Mayfield Village Wetlands Committee had been looking to build since its inception a decade ago. WHEREAS, David Girbino supplied all the engineering and the labor to construct the bridge. WHEREAS, with the assistance of the Service Department, David Girbino, fellow Scouts, Village residents and other volunteers worked tirelessly on this project through its completion. After hours of work, nails and rain, the fmal piece was bolted into the side of the bridge on October 23, 2011. _~ WHEREAS, the following volunteers assisted David Girbino and the Mayfield Village Service Department in the building of the bridge at the Mayfield Village wetlands: Tim Stickley Michael Girbino Debra Girbino John Strasshofer David Strasshofer Jeesoo Kim Tiffany Pham Julianna Kocsis Kaitlyn Wene Nate Pappenhagen Denny Nelson Peter Gall John Gall Julie Green Dylan Green Conar Lewis Alex Ashley Matt Granitto Mark Granitto Charlie Kander Michael Fallon Luke Fakaris Drew Shaw Bob Pappenhagen Charlene Strasshofer Dave Strasshofer Maggie Stickley Rebecca Pappenhagen WHEREAS, this major improvement constructed by volunteers for the purpose of beautifying the Mayfield Village Wetlands for public benefit will be remembered and enjoyed by many for years to come. THAT: THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, Eagle Scout candidate David Girbino from Troup 433, the Mayfield Village Service Department and the above-named volunteers are to be commended for donating their time and talent to complete the plan for a bridge at the Mayfield Village Wetlands. Their work on this project is hereby recognized and appreciated by Mayor Rinker, Mayfield Village Council and the residents of Mayfield Village. SECTION 1. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of the Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. SEC 1 ION z. The Clerk. of Council is hereby authorized and directed to prepare copies of this Resolution for each .of the above-named individuals. The original shall be placed in the permanent records of the Village. ~ ~, SECTION 3.
