ORDINANCE NO. 2002- 24 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EIViERGENCY ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT <br />WITH PLASTALL SERVICE COMPANY, INC. IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO <br />EXCEED $44,784.00 AS AND FOR THE SANDBLASTING AND <br />PAINTING OF PARKVIEW POOL <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield finds it in its best interest and the interest of its <br />residents to sandblast and paint Parkview Pool; and <br />Council President <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to law, bids were advertised by the Village, those bids were <br />received, and it was determined that the bid of Plastall Service Company, Inc. was the best <br />bid regarding this project. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby and herein authorized and directed to enter into <br />an Agreement with Plastall Service Company, Inc. with regard to the sandblasting and <br />painting of Parkview Pool pursuant to the bids and specifications as advertised by the <br />Village and pursuant to the company's bid in the amount of Forty-four Thousand Seven <br />Hundred Eighty-four pollars ($44,784.00) as received by the Village, which has been <br />determined to the best bid and pursuant to the terms and conditions as set forth in those <br />documents, which shall be maintained by the Director of Finance. <br />SECTION 2 The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; <br />and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, <br />took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements <br />including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield <br />Village, Ohio. It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the <br />affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to Council and approval by the <br />Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time allowed by law. <br />l ? <br />WILLIAM BUCKHOLTZ
