ESOL UZ'ION NO. 2003-13 <br />A IaESOLUTION OF RECOGNITION TO SANTO T. INCOI2VAIA F012 HIS <br />CONT1tIBUTION TO THE CITY OF 1dIAPLE HEIGHTS <br />WHElaEAS, Santo T. Incorvaia has contributed 20 years of public service for the City of Maple Heights, <br />another Cuyahoga County municipality. He has been a resident of Maple Heights all of his life; he is a graduate of <br />Maple.Heights High School, attended Cleveland State University and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social <br />Service and Criminal Justice. He attended Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he was named <br />Norgar Academic Scholar. He earned his Juris Doctor Degree from Case Western Reserve University in 1988. He <br />also attended and completed Case Western Reserve University's Basic Police School. Santo Incorvaia served as a <br />police officer for 6%2 years. He attended Kent State University's Elected Officials Program and is a recent <br />graduate Fellow of the Leadership Academy at Cleveland State University; and <br />WHEREAS, Santo Incorvaia has held the following elected positions in the City of Maple Heights. He ran <br />successfully in his first attempt for public office as a Councilperson in 1983. He served four years in the capacity <br />of Council Representative in District Three; and <br />WHEREAS, Santo Incorvaia was elected President of Council in 1987 and held this office for four years. <br />In 1991, he ran successfully for the office of Mayor and was sworn in for a four-year term as the Mayor of Maple <br />Heights on December 4, 1991. He was re-elected in 1995 and 1999. He is completing his third term as Mayor; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Under Mayor Incorvaia's leadership, the City of Maple Heights experienced a rebirth with <br />?,.tany new programs and events implemented for the residents; and <br />WHEREAS, During his 20 years of public service Santo Incorvaia has received a multitude of awards and <br />acknowledgements froin various civic organizations, <br />THEREFO1tE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF 1VIAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Santo Incorvaia be and is hereby recognized for his 20 years of <br />dedicated service to the City of 1Vlaple Heights <br />Section 1. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to prepare duplicate original copies of <br />this Resolution. One such original shall be presented to Santo Incorvaia. The other original shall be placed in the <br />permanent records of the Village as a lasting tribute to Santo Incorvaia. <br />Section 3.
