ORDINANCE N0.2004-08-PAGE 10 <br />Second through fourth class firefighters shall follow National Fire Protection Association Standard <br />1001 for promotional tests beginning January 1, 2000. Those persons having experience (such as <br />paramedics or full-time firefighters) may waive the time requirement and test out at each level of <br />proficiency. <br />Second Class Firefighter <br />Following N.F.P.A. 1001 as a guideline for competence, this position would be available to a <br />candidate 24 months from the time of appointment to the Fire Department. <br />Third Class Firefighter <br />Following the N.F.P.A. 1001 as a guideline for competence, this position would be available to a <br />candidate 12 months from the time of appointment to the Fire Department. <br />Fourth Class Firefighter <br />Following the N.F.PA. 1001 as a guideline for competence, this position would be available to a <br />candidate 6 months from the time of appointment to the Fire Department. <br />Part-Time Firefighters Call Pay Schedule <br />Part-time firefighters shall be paid a minimum of one (1) hour compensation for call out which <br />will be paid at the First Hour rate set forth in the call-pay section below: <br />2003 2004 2005 <br />Captain <br />First Hour $ 32.71 $ 34.01 $ 35.20 <br />Every Hour Thereafter $ 20.25 $ 21.07 $ 21.80 <br />First Class Firefighter <br />First Hour $ 23.16 $ 24.09 $ 24.93 <br />Every Hour Thereafter $ 14.74 $ 15.33 $ 15.86 <br />First Class Firefighter with Paramedic Certificate <br />First Hour $ 27.61 $ 28.72 $ 29.72 <br />Every Hour Thereafter $17.48 $ 18.18 $ 18.82 <br />Second Class Firefighter <br />First Hour $ 20.82 $ 21.66 $ 22.42 <br />Every Hour Thereafter $ 12.58 $ 13.08 $ 13.54 <br />Third Class Firefighter <br />First Hour $ 18.53 $ 19.27 $ 19.94 <br />Every Hour Thereafter $ 9.62 $ 10.00 $ 10.35 <br />Fourth Class Firefighter <br />First Hour $ 17.38 $ 18.07 $ 18.71 <br />Every Hour Thereafter $ 8.15 $ 8.47 $ 8.77 <br />
