Agreement Between Mayfield Pillage, Ohio and the International Association Firefighters, Loca12619 <br />Section 12.5. The Employer agrees all disciplinary procedures shall be carried out in <br />private and in a business-like manner. <br />Section 12.6. Records of disciplinary action shall cease to have force and effort or be <br />considered in future discipline matters under the following time frames: <br />Oral and written reprimands 12 months <br />Suspensions of less than 3 days 18 months <br />Suspensions of 3 days or more 24 months <br />Section 12.7. An employee may inspect his or her personnel file as set forth in this <br />Agreement, under Article 13, Personnel Files. <br />Section 12.8. Should an employee dispute any of the contents of his or her personnel <br />file, he or she may attach a written rebuttal to the disputed item for inclusion into the file. <br />ARTICLE 13 <br />PERSONNEL FILES <br />Section 13.1. It is recognized by the parties that the Employer may establish regulations <br />for the custody, use and preservation of the records, papers, books, documents and <br />property pertaining to the Employer or its employees. Employees shall have access to <br />their own individual personnel files for review of documents contained in said personnel <br />file. An employee shall not have access to any other employee's personnel file. <br />Employees shall have access to their individual personnel files for review in the <br />following manner: <br />1. Requests for review must be in writing. Time and date for review is <br />subject to the availability of the employee's personnel file. Such review <br />shall not last longer than thirty (30) minutes. <br />2. All reviews shall be conducted during normal business hours. <br />3. Employees have the right to procure a copy of any and all articles in his <br />personnel file, copies of which shall be provided by the Employer. <br />Employee personnel files shall include, but may not be limited to, individual employment <br />data, payroll information, work time schedules, records of additions or deductions paid, <br />application forms, records pertaining to hiring, promotion, demotion, transfer, layoff and <br />termination. <br />Section 13.2. Nothing herein shall prevent the dissemination. of impersonal statistical <br />information. <br />Page 9 of 35 <br />
