Agreement Between Mayfield Village, Ohio and the International Association Firefighters, Loca12619 Section 25.2. Compensation for Holidays Not Worked. If not required to work on paid holidays, the employee shall be entitled to receive pay at his regular rate of compensation on such holiday on which he has not worked, regardless of the day of the week on which it is observed. Section 25.3. Compensation for Holidays Worked. If a full-time employee works on one of the above designated holidays, he shall be compensated at the applicable overtime rate for each hour worked, and shall be given equal to the number of hours worked, the same time off to be first approved by the department head. Section 25.4. Compensation for Holiday during Vacation. If a full-time employee is on vacation during one of the above-designated holidays, that day shall be considered a holiday day off and shall not be counted or compensated as a vacation day. Section 25.5. All full.time employees of the Union who work the majority of the shift on the holiday shall be compensated for the entire shift in accordance with the holiday pay provisions set forth hereinabove. Section 25.6. In addition to those paid holidays authorized by Contract, each permanent full-time employee shall be entitled to four (4) "optional days/tours" as paid days off. (Referred to as "personal days" off in previous Village Ordinances). (Let it be noted that in converting from three (3) optional days/tours, twelve hours have been deducted from the Village's offer for each year from the vacation total). Section 25.7. Any new permanent full-time employee hired on or after January 1st for the purposes of computing "optional holidays/tours" shall be entitled to the following optional days/tours in their first year of employment: Optional Holidays January 1St through March 31St ..............................................4 optional holidays April 1St through June 30th .....................................................3 optional holidays July 1St through September 30th ............................:................2 optional holidays October 1St through December 31St ........................................1 optional holiday Section 25.8.
