CUYAHOGA COUNTY ENGINEER
July 7, 2004
ROBERT C. KLAIBER, Jr., Pe., Ps.
2100 Superior Viaduct Cleveland, Ohio 44113
(216) 348-3800 FAX 348-3896 TfD 348-3928
Hon. Bruce G. Rinker
Mayor, Village of Mayfield
6621 Wilson Mills Road
Mayfield, Ohio 44143
Re: Ridgebury Road Resurfacing
Richmond Road (SR-175) to SOM Center Road (SR-91)
In the Cities of Mayfield Heights, Highland Heights,
Lyndhurst and the Village of Mayfield
Dear Mayor Rinker,
~ ~
~~~
~Ul p8~~~~
~iqy,~~~~~ ?aay
v/`~~~~
The County Engineers Office has begun the implementation of a Pavement Management
System within Cuyahoga County. The purpose of this program is to evaluate each year
the primary county route system and recommend a preventive maintenance treatment as
needed in order to minimize the cost of rehabilitation. This program also will help us
better manage the county route network and prioritize future improvement projects.
We are recommending that Ridgebury Road between Richmond Road (SR-175) to SOM
Center Road (SR-91) be selected based upon its current pavement rating. The scope of
work for this project would include the following:
1. Removal of the 3" of asphalt.
2. Repair base as needed.
3. Drive aprons and curbs as needed.
4. Resurface with three- (3) inch new asphalt.
5. Adjust castings as needed.
6. Place new pavement markings.
We are anticipating construction could begin in the spring of 2007 and be completed by
October 2007.
PACE
Loeal 1.0310
