i RESOLUTION NO. 2004-01 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF A CLEAN OHIO TRAILS FUND GRANT APPLICATION WHEREAS, the Village of Mayfield intends to engage in a project to construct and develop recreational trails in the Village in coordination with other regional trail systems and state wide trail systems which are also intended to support commuter access; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the guidelines established for such application process, a Resolution of Authorization must be passed by Village Council; and WHEREAS, the Resolution must include the legal name of the applicant or project sponsor and the title of the contact officer; and WHEREAS, Village Council deems the filing of a Clean Ohio Trails Fund Grant Application in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of all Village residents. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. Mayfield Village Council authorize the filing of an Application under the Clean Ohio Trails Fund Grant Program and specifically identifies the Village of Mayfield, an Ohio Municipal Corporation as the legal name of the Applicant or project sponsor, and designates Ivan Valentic of URS as the Village's Contact Officer. SECTION 2. The Contact information for Ivan Valentic is as follows: URS, 800 West Saint Clair Avenue, Suite 500, Cleveland, Ohio 44113-1234, telephone 216-622- 2400 and fax 216-579-1187. SECTION 3. The Mayor is further authorized to execute any and all agreements or documents which are required in order to finalize the Application of this Grant. SECTION 4. The Clerk of Council shall forward a signed certified copy of this Resolution to Ivan Valentic for filing along with the Grant Application. 1
