Resolution 2004-26 <br />Page 2 <br />WHEREAS, this 5.5 mill levy will generate necessary revenues for the <br />Mayfield School District, and protect the students from $5 million in budget <br />cuts, as more fully described in the attached Superintendent's letter of <br />September 14, 2004, incorporated in this Resolution as Exhibit 1, and <br />including: <br />• Elimination of Community Education Frograms and Staff <br />• Elimination of ilolunteer Service Programs and Staff <br />• Vast Personnel Cuts (Elimination of 25 District-Wide Personnel Not <br />Including the Community and Adult Volunteer Personnel) <br />• Changes in busing for Grades K-8 and elimination of High School busing <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayfield Village Council <br />hereby endorses passage of the 5.5 mill levy and urges residents to approve the <br />issue on the November 2nd ballot. <br />Section 1. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to <br />prepare cluplicate original copies of this Resolution. One such original <br />shall be presented- to the Mayfield City School District. The other shall <br />remain on file as a permanent record. <br />Section 2.
