KSOLUTION 2004-29 <br />fTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bruce G. Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATIOAi TO ALMA WINKLE <br />? <br />WHEREAS, Alma Winkle and her husband Donald built their first home in <br />ayfield Village on Kenwood Drive in 1959 and later built on Beech Hill Road; and <br />WHEREAS, Alma Winkle and husband Donald raised four children: Dona, <br />Joyce, Sally and Paul, who attended Mayfield City Schools; and WHEREAS,;Alma Winkle enjoys time with her children and three <br />grandchildren, spending her 80th birthday ice skating with her fasn3ly; and <br />WHEREAS, Alma Winkle has served Mayfield Village as. a member of the ' <br />Commission on Aging since 1995; and <br />WHEREAS, during her 10-year tenure as a Commission on Aging member, <br />Alma Winkle assisted Human Services Director Eunice Kalina with numerous <br />parties and activities for Village seniors and employees; and <br />WHEREAS, Mayor Bruce Rinker and members of Council wish to .recognize <br />Alma Winkle for her dedication to the Commission on Aging and to Mayf'ield Village <br />as she prepares to move to a new life in Chantilly, Virginia where she will reside <br />with her daughter pona; and <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, <br />OHIO, THAT: <br />Alma Winkle be aad is hereby recogaized for her devotioa to Mayfield Village. <br />Section 1. The Clerk of Council is hereby authox ized and directed to prepare <br />duplicate original copies of this Resolution. One such original sh«ll be presented <br />tb Alma Winkle. The other original shall be placed in the permanent records of the <br />Village as a lasting tribute to Alma Winkle. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective upon its adoption by <br />Council and the signature of the Mayor, or as may otherwise be provided by law. <br />JOSEPH W.
