RESOLUTION NO. 95-18 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION <br />AWARDING THE CONCRETE PACKAGE FOR <br />THE NEW FIRE STATION TO SEVEN HILLS CEMENT <br />WHEREAS, the Village has advertised pursuant to law for a <br />concrete package for the construction of the new Village Fire <br />Station; and <br />WHEREAS, the lowest and best bid was that of Seven Hills <br />Cement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby and herein authorized and <br />directed to enter into a contract with Seven Hills Cement as and <br />for the concrete package for the development of the new Village <br />Fire Station, for an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Eighty Six <br />Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($286,800.00) pursuant to the terms <br />and conditions as set forth in the bid documents, the advertisement <br />for bidders, and the specifications prepared for the project. <br />SECTION 2. The Director of Finance is authorized to make <br />payment in the amount indicated in Section 1, and pursuant to the <br />contract entered into and approved by the Director of Law.. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions.of the Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 4. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village. <br />It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon passage by the <br />affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to <br />Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time <br />allowed by law. <br />ALLACE J.
