RESOLUTION NO. 95-24 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />OF COMMENDATION TO WILLIAM LAUFFER, <br />RETIRING PRINCIPAL FROM THE CENTER SCHOOL <br />WHEREAS, William Lauffer, Principal of our neighboring Center <br />School since 1984, is retiring effective June, 1995, after twenty <br />years of service to the Mayfield School District; and <br />WHEREAS, the Center School has been a Statewide model, being <br />awarded a Hall of Fame School in 1988; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Lauffer has been awarded one of the top five <br />principals of the year, has been honored by the Academic Boosters, <br />and has been honored by the "Foundation of Excellence"; and <br />WHEREAS, William Lauffer has been an outstanding leader in the <br />school district, particularly in his work with student leadership <br />and his personal involvement with the students of the district. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor, his Administration, and the <br />Council, on behalf of all of the residents of the Village of <br />Mayfield, do hereby and herein commend William Lauffer upon his <br />retirement from the Mayfield School District, and do further <br />express our sincere best wishes for a long and enjoyable <br />retirement. <br />SECTION 2. The Mayor and Council further express their <br />gratitude to Mr. Lauffer for his many years of dedicated service to <br />the citizens of Mayfield Village, and the many students from <br />Mayfield Village who have gone through the Mayfield School System. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of the Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and-of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 4. This Resolution shall take effect upon signature <br />by the Mayor or as may otherwise be provided for in law. <br />MAR FIXLE , <br />Council President
