RESOLUTION NO. 95-25 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />URGING THE COUNTY SANITARY ENGINEER TO SEEK FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE <br />FROM THE STATE ISSUE 2 INFRASTRUCTURE FUNDS FOR THE FIRST YEAR'S <br />CAPITALIZED INTEREST ON THE NORTH COUNTY LINE SANITARY SEWER <br />IMPROVEMENT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Article VII, Section 2K of the Ohio <br />Constitution, the State of Ohio is authorized to issue bonds and <br />other obligations of the State for the purpose of financing public <br />infrastructure capital improvements of political subdivisioris as <br />designated by law; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 164.06 of the Ohio Revised Code, <br />the District One Public Works Integrating Committee has been <br />created to accept, evaluate and recommend applications for state <br />financing of capital infrastructure improvement projects of <br />political subdivisions in Cuyahoga County; and . <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 164.05 of the Ohio Revised Code, <br />the Ohio Public Works Commission has been created to accept and <br />approve applications for state financing of capital infrastructure <br />improvement projects of political subdivisions in Cuyahoga County; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the County has embarked on an expansive sanitary <br />sewer improvement program in the North County Line area of the <br />Village, and the Village is urging the County Sanitary Engineer to <br />seek Issue 2 fund assistance as and for the first year's <br />capitalized interest for the project. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Cuyahoga County Sanitary Engineer is <br />hereby urged to apply to the District One Public Works Integrating <br />Committee and the Ohio Public Works Commission for financial <br />assistance for the first year's capitalized interest on the North <br />County Line sanitary sewer project. <br />SECTION 2. That the County Engineer is further urged to enter <br />into any agreements as may be necessary and appropriate for <br />obtaining this financial assistance. <br />SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective upon its <br />adoption by Council and by signature of the Mayor or as may <br />otherwise be provided for by law. <br />K FIXL R, <br />Council President
