Ordinance 1Vo. 95-43 <br />Page 2 <br />WHEREAS, Village Firefighters Brian Briskey, Paul Byrne, Tom D'Onofrio, <br />Frank Dworning, Don Loiselle, John Panzero, Bob Saracene, Charles Sedgley, Kevin <br />Shea, Ken Shrefler; Fire Lieutenants Michael Girbino and Craig Neyman and Fire <br />Chief Mohr, along with firefighters from the cities of Highland Heights, Mayfield <br />Heights and Willoughby Hills, responded to the emergency and thereupon found the <br />DePaul family overcome by nauseous fumes (which later was determined to be <br />carbon monoxide.) <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with their medical training, the firefighters <br />promptly administered medical assistance to the DePaul family, <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village, Mayfield Heights, Highland Heights and <br />Willoughby Hills ambulance crews transported the DePaul family to area hospitals <br />for emergency treatment. <br />WHEREAS, medical experts believe that because of the timely response and <br />proficient actions of all personnel, the lives of the DePaul family were saved. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. The Mayor and Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio, hereby recognize <br />and commend all personnel who assisted in the emergency at the DePaul residence on <br />May 31, 1995. <br />Section 2. The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to prepare <br />duplicate original copies of this Resolution. One such original shall be presented to <br />each employee who assisted in the emergency at the DePaul residence as a small <br />token of the esteem in which they are held by the residents and officials of Mayfield <br />Village, Ohio. Another original shall be placed in the permanent records of the <br />Village as a lasting tribute to Firefighters Brian Briskey, Paul Byrne, Tom D'Onofrio, <br />Frank IJworning, Don Loiselle, John Panzero, Bob Saracene, Charles Sedgley, Kevin <br />Shea, Ken Shrefler; Fire Lieutenants Michael Girbino and Craig Neyman; Fire Chief <br />David Mohr and Police Chief Donald Stevens. <br />Section 3.
