f~
~/~
Memo
To: Mayor Rinker
- Council President Fixler
All Members of Council
From: Philip Brett
CC: Law Director Diemert
Da4e: December 13, 1995
Re: Final Appropriation and Temporary Appropriation
Please find enclosed two appropriation ordinances: the first is a final appropriation based on current
projections. It is hoped that this will be the final appropriation ordinance for 1995 but I may have⢠to
bring another one forward in 1996 to bring us into legal compliance for the purposes of an audit: The
major changes in the 1995 final appropriation have to do with a decrease in the transfer to the
community room from $30,000 to $3,000 because the renovation was paid out of the capital.
improvements fund, an increase in the transfer to the Municipal Center Fund from, $100,000 to
$300,000 which is closer to what we had originally hoped to budget but we wanted to wait to see how
cash flows were doing, and finally, a $275,000 advance to the North County- Line Trunk Sewer
because of the delays in the project which have in tum delayed, the County reimbursing us for
engineering. There are other changes but they are minor. All in all, we were within budget in all major
funds throughout the year.
The second ordinance is a temporary appropriation for 1996 which will allow the Village to operate
until its full orriinance is passed prior to April 1, 1996. If you have any questions on either of these
ordinances, I wilt be glad to answer them at the meeting orat your convenience.
~ Page 1
