ORDINANCE NO. 95-07 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO PURCHASE TEN FEET FROM <br />THE SCHOOL BOARD TO THE REAR OF THE COMMUNITY CENTER <br />FOR ONE DOLLAR <br />WHEREAS, the Mayfield School District has agreed to sell ten <br />(10) feet of property to the rear of the Community Center for One <br />Dollar ($1.00) to the Village of Mayfield, in order to accommodate <br />the expansion of the Community Center for an additional meeting <br />room and storage area; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Village to enter into this <br />agreement for the transfer of said property. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby and herein authorized and <br />directed to enter into an agreement for the purchase of ten (10) <br />feet from the Mayfield School District immediately adjacent to the <br />rear of the existing Community Center, for the purchase price of <br />One Dollars ($1.00). <br />-- SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and <br />welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, and for the <br />further reasons set forth in the preamble hereof.
