ORDINANCE NO. 95- 50 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH CINTAS CLOTHING <br />COMPANY FOR SERVICE DEPARTMENT UNIFORMS <br />WHEREAS, the Village has been advised that Cintas Clothing <br />Company is willing to change its contract with the Village at any <br />time; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Village to change the <br />agreement with Cintas from eleven (11) shirts and eleven (11) pants <br />per employee to six (6) shirts and six (6) pants per employee; and <br />WHEREAS, the cost per employee in the Service Department will <br />be reduced from Four Hundred Twenty-Three and 80/100 Dollars <br />($423.80) per man per year to Two Hundred Twenty-One Dollars <br />($221.00); and <br />WHEREAS, this program is being adopted in conjunction with a <br />supplemental payment to the employees for providing their own <br />laundering of service uniforms as well as additional uniform needs <br />throughout the work year. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDA~~NED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor and Director of Finance are hereby <br />and herein authorized and directed to change the agreement with <br />Cintas Clothing Company to the "Unilease Program", same being <br />attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as if totally <br />rewritten. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and <br />welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, and for the <br />further reasons set forth in the preamble hereof. It shall, <br />therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the <br />affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to <br />Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time <br />allowed by law. <br />~Y~~~ <br />L <br />~K FIXLER <br />Council Presi nt {°rs ~ew- <br />
