See corrected page ORDINANCE NO. 95-57 INTRODUCED BY: Council as a Whole AN ORDINANCE PROPOSING AN AMENDMENT TO ARTICLE XI OF THE _ CHARTER OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE PERTAINING TO THE CHARTER REVIEW COMMISSION WHEREAS, Article XI of the Village Charter provides for a Charter, Review Commission every five years; and WHEREAS, the Charter Review Commission has recommended to Council the amendment as hereinafter stated. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO';, THAT: SECTION 1.~` That Article XI of the Charter of the Village of Mayfield, is hereby and herein amended to read as follows: ARTICLE XI ~~~,CHARTER REVIEW COMMISSION In J~r'nuary,~";,1995, and each five years thereafter, the Mayor shall appoint, subject to confirmation by a majority vote of„ Council, -~~e- elector-s• of the municipality holding no other office, appointment or employment in the government of the municipality, as members of the Charter Review Commission. Such Commission shall review the Charter, and within five calendar months aftersuch appointment, shall have a recommend to ~~= the voters such amendments, if any, to this Charter, as in its''~.judgment are desirable. The Council ~~~~t~e-t-~i-~r-de-=ve~e~z ids ~~'~~~~~ shall submit to the electors not later than the next succeeding general election any such proposed amendments. The members appointed to said Commission shall serve without compensation. Meetings of the Charter Review Commission shall be open to the public. the Village. However, random failure of such delivery will not cause invalidation of any amendment by the voters. ~. SECTION 2. This ordinance, upon adoption by Council, shall be referred by the Clerk to the Cuyahoga County Board, of Elections for placement on the ballot in November, 1995. Upon this proposed amendment being approved by the majority of the electors voting thereon, it shall become part of the Charter of the Village of Mayfield.
