ORDINANCE NO. 95-65 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Council as a Whole <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />PROPOSING AN AMENDMENT TO ARTICLE V OF THE <br />CHARTER OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE PERTAINING TO THE <br />BOARD OF APPEALS <br />WHEREAS, Article XI of the Village Charter provides for a <br />Charter Review Commission every five years; and <br />WHEREAS, the Charter Review Commission has recommended to <br />Council the amendment as hereinafter stated. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That Article V of the Charter of the Village of <br />Mayfield, is hereby and herein amended to read as follows: <br />ARTICLE V <br />ADMINISTRATIVE DEPARTMENTS, BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> <br />SECTION 12. BOARD OF APPEALS. <br />(D) Officers, Rules, Quorum and Compensation. <br />The Board shall elect a Chairman of the Board from among <br />the four appointed elector members of the Board. The <br />Board shall appoint a Secretary to the Board, who need <br />not be a member of the Board and who may hold other <br />municipal office or appointment. The Board may appoint <br />such other officers as it shall deem necessary, shall <br />make its own rules and regulations and shall keep a <br />journal of its proceedings. The officers of the Board <br />shall be elected by the Board at or prior to its first <br />meeting each year. The Board shall meet upon call of the <br />Chairman or any two members. A majority of the members <br />of the Board shall constitute a quorum for the <br />transactions of the business, and the affirmative vote of <br />three members of the Board shall be necessary for any <br />official action. No variance shall be considered by the <br />Board until notice of the request has been sent to all <br />property owners within 300 feet and all ad~oinina and <br /> <br />
