ORDINANCE NO. 95-79 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF TWO POLICE VEHICLES <br />FROM CHUCK PRICE'S BURTON FORD <br />WHEREAS, it has already been deemed necessary and in the best <br />interest of the health, safety and welfare of all of the Village <br />residents to purchase two new police vehicles for use by the <br />Mayfield Village Police Department; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to law, bids were advertised by the Village, <br />and one bid was received, that being the bid of Chuck Price's <br />Burton Ford, which is further determined to be the best bid. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT:. <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby and herein authorized and <br />directed to purchase two (2) police vehicles, 1996 Ford Crown <br />Victoria Models, from Chuck Price's Burton Ford for use by the <br />Mayfield Village Police Department, pursuant to the bids and <br />specifications as advertised by the Village, and pursuant to that <br />company's bid in the amount of Eighteen Thousand Three Hundred <br />Fifty Four Dollars ($18,354.00) for each vehicle, as received by <br />the Village, which is determined to be the best bid. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action,: took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and <br />welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, and for the <br />further reasons set forth in the preamble hereof. It shall, <br />therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the <br />affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to <br />Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time <br />allowed by law. <br />MARK FIXLE <br />Council President <br />First Reading: November 20 , 1995 <br />Second Reading: Suspended , 1995 <br />Third Reading: Suspended , 1995 <br />
