RESOLUTION NO. 94- 4 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION <br />CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF BERNIE SAMAC, <br />AND ESTABLISHING TERMS, CONDITIONS AND COMPENSATION <br />OF THE BUILDING COIKMISSIONER <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Mayor's appointment of Bernie Samac as <br />Building Commissioner for Mayfield Village, Ohio, is hereby <br />confirmed subject to the terms, conditions and compensation <br />hereinafter established. <br />SECTION 2. As Building Commissioner of Mayfield Village, <br />Ohio, Bernie Samac shall be the head of the Building Department and <br />shall be responsible for all building and inspection matters <br />concerning the Municipality. He shall furthermore perform all <br />duties as specified in Section 10 of the Charter and as deemed <br />necessary by Council and the Mayor. <br />SECTION 3. As Building Commissioner, Bernie Samac, shall be <br />compensated at a rate of Fifty One Thousand Three Hundred Ninety <br />Six Dollars ($51,396.00) per annum, $1,976-.77 biweekly, effective ? <br />January 1, 1994, through December 31, 1994. In addition, he shall ?ko <br />be entitled to the Village paid family plan medical insurance as i?? <br />provided to other employees of the Village, and shall be granted <br />credit for the purpose of computing vacation amd-siek leave- for <br />previous municipal. employment. <br />? <br />SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of the Council relating to the adoP ? tion of this Resolution `?? <br />k? <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that ??•,`J <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in ;? <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 5. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village. <br />It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon passage by the <br />affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to <br />Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time <br />allowed by law. <br />J AN E CINCO, <br />o cil President
