RESOLUTION NO. 94-6 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION <br />CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF PHILIP BRETT, <br />AND ESTABLISHING TERMS, CONDITIONS AND COMPENSATION <br />OF THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Mayor's appointment of Philip Brett as <br />Director of Finance for Mayfield Village, Ohio, is hereby confirmed <br />subject to the terms, conditions and compensation hereinafter <br />establisheda <br />SECTION 2. As Director of Finance of Mayfield Village, Ohio, <br />Philip Brett shall be the head of the Finance Department and shall <br />be responsible for all fiscal matters concerning the Municipality. <br />He shall furthermore perform all duties as specified in the Charter <br />and Ordinances of the Village of Mayfield and as determined by <br />Council and the Mayor. <br />SECTION 3. As Director of F'inance, Philip Brett shall be <br />compensated at a rate of Thirty Eight Thousand Five Hundred Dollars <br />($38,500°00) per annum, $1,480077 biweekly, effective January 1, <br />1994, through June 30, 1994, and shall then be compensated at a <br />rate of Fifty One Thousand Three Hundred Ninety-Six Dollars <br />($51,396.00) per annum, $1,795.12 biweekly, effective July 1, 1994, <br />through December 31, 1994. <br />SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of the Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such gormal action, took place in meetings open to the public in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121a22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 5. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village. <br />It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon passage by the <br />affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to <br />Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time <br />allowed by law. <br />('X , <br />J NNE CINCO, ? <br />cwcil President <br />(2)
