RESOLUTION NO. 94-30 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT <br />WITH CROSS-ROADS ASPHALT RECYCLING IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF EIGHTEEN THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED FORTY <br />DOLLARS FOR ASPHALT STREET REJUVENATION. <br />WHEREAS, it has already been deemed necessary and in the best <br />interests of the health, safety and welfare of all of the Village <br />residents to have asphalt street rejuvenation conducted within the <br />Village; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to law, bids were advertised by the Village, <br />those bids were received, and it was determined that the bid of <br />Cross-Roads Asphalt Recycling was the best bid. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby and herein authorized and <br />directed to enter into a contract with Cross-Roads Asphalt <br />Recycling to perform asphalt street rejuvenation to certain streets <br />within the Village, pursuant to the bids and specifications as <br />advertised by the Village, and pursuant to that company's bid in <br />the amount of Eighteen Thousand, Two Hundred Forty Dollars <br />($18,240.00), as received by the Village, which is hereby and <br />herein determined to be the best bid, and pursuant to terms and <br />conditions set forth in these documents. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of the Council relating to the adoption of this Resolution <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village. <br />It shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon passage by the <br />affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to <br />Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time <br />allowed by law. <br />?. <br />JO N CINCO, ? <br />Co il President
