<br />performed and equipment supplied by the Owner.
<br />3.4.9 Providing sen•ices in connection wich the work of a con-
<br />struction manager or separare consultan[s retained b?• the

<br />3.4.10 Providing detailed estimates of Construction Cost.
<br />3.4.11 Providing detailed quancity surveys or inventories of
<br />m:iterial, equipmen[ and labor.
<br />3.4.12 Yroviding an:ilyses of owning and operating costs
<br />3.4.13 Providing interior design and other similar services
<br />required for or in conneccion wich the seleccion, procuremen[
<br />or ins[allation of fiirniture, furnishings and related equipment.
<br />3.4.14 Providing ser_Vices for planning tenan[ or rental spaces.
<br />3.4.15 Nf:ilcing invesdgations, inventories of materials or equip-
<br />ment, or valuations and detailed appraisals of existing facilities.
<br />3.4.16 Preparing a set of reproducible record drawings show-
<br />ing significant changes in the Work made during cons[ruction
<br />based on marked-up prinEs, drawings and other data furnished
<br />by the Contractor to the ?rchitect.
<br />3.4.17 Providing assistance in the utiliza[ion oF equipment or
<br />systems such as cesting, adjus[ing and balancing, prepara[ion of
<br />operation and maintenance manuals, training personnel for
<br />operacion and maintenance. and consuliation during operation.
<br />3.4.18 Providing services after issuance to the Owner of the
<br />fin:il Certificate for Paymenc, or in the absence of a final Cer-
<br />[ificate for Paymenc, more than 60 days af[er the date of Sub-
<br />stanciai Completion of the Work.
<br />3.4.19 Providing sen•ices of consultants for other than archi-
<br />tectural, structural, mechanic:il and electric:il engineering por-
<br />tions of the Project provided as a part of B:uic Services.
<br />3.4.20 Providing any other services no[ o[herwise included in
<br />[his Agreemenc or not customarily furnished in accordance
<br />with generally accepted archi[ectural practice.
<br />ARTICLE 4
<br />OWNER'S RESPONSIBILITIES
<br />4.1 The Owner shall provide fiill information regarding
<br />requiremenis for the Project, including a program which shall
<br />e[ forIh the Owner's objectives, schedule, constraints and cri-
<br />,ria, including space requirements and relationships, flexi-
<br />biliry, expandabi(iry, special equipment, systerris and site
<br />requirements.
<br />4.2 The Owner sh:lll CSC1bII5Il 111d UpCIa[C an overali budget for
<br />the Project, induding the Construction Cost, the Owner's ocher
<br />cosis and reasonable contingencies relared to all of these coscs.
<br />4.3 If reqtiested by the Architect, [Ite Owner shall ftirnish evi-
<br />dence [hat financi:il arrangements have been made to ftilfill the
<br />Owner's obligations under this Agreemcnt.
<br />4.4 The Owner sh:ill designate a representative au[horized to
<br />act on the Owner's behalf wich respect co the Projecc. The
<br />Owner or such authorized representa[ive shall render decisions
<br />in acimely manner pertaining ro documenis submitted by the
<br />Architect in order ro avoid unreasonable delay in the orderly
<br />and sequential progress of the Architect's services.
<br />4.5 The Owner shall furnish surveys describing physical
<br />characteristics, legal limitations and utilit}, locations for the site
<br />of the Projec[, and a written leg:il description of che site. The
<br />surveys and legal infomiation sh:ill include, as applicable,
<br />grades and lines of scree[s, alleys, pavements and adjoiiung
<br />property and structures; adjacent drainage; righcs-of-way,
<br />restric[ions, easements, encroachments, zoning, deed restric-
<br />cions, boundaries and contours of the sice; locations, dimen-
<br />sions and necessary data pertaining to exiscing buildings, other
<br />improvements and trees; and information concerning available
<br />utility services and lines, both public and private, above and
<br />below grade, including inverts and depchs. All the information
<br />on the survey shall be referenced to a project benchmark.
<br />4.6 The Owner shall furnish the services of geo[echnical engi-
<br />neers n•hen such services are reques[ed by the Archicect. Such
<br />services may include but are not limited to test borings, cest
<br />pi[s, de[erminations of soil bearing values, percolacion tests,
<br />evaluations of hazardous ma[erials, ground corrosion and resis-
<br />tivic}< <es[s, including necessary operations for anticipating sub-
<br />soil conditions, widl reports and appropriace professional
<br />recommendations.
<br />4.6.1 The Owner shall furnish [he services of other consul-
<br />tants ?vhen such services are reasonably required by the scope
<br />of the Project and are requested by the Architect.
<br />4.7 The Owner shall furnish structural, mechanical, chemical,
<br />air and n-acer pollution [ests, tests for hazardous macerials, and
<br />other laboratory and environmental tests, inspections and
<br />reports required by law or the Contract Documents.
<br />4.8 The Owner shall furnish all legal, accounting and insurance
<br />counseling services as may be necessary a[ any [ime for the
<br />Projec[, including auditing services the Owner may require to
<br />verify the Contracror's Applications for Paymenc or [o ascertain
<br />hon- or for wha[ purposes the Contractor has used the money
<br />p:ud by or on behalf of [he Owner.
<br />4.9 The services, information, surveys and reports required by
<br />Paragraphs 4.5 chrough 4.8 shall be furnished at the Owner's
<br />expense, and [he Archirect shall be entitled to rely upon the
<br />accuracy and completeness thereof.
<br />4.10 Prompt writ[en notice shall be given by the Owner to the
<br />Archirect if the Owner becomes aware of any fault or defect in
<br />the Project or nonconformance with the Contract Documents.
<br />4.11 The proposed language of certificates or cer[ifications
<br />requesced of the Archi[ect or Architect's consultants shall be
<br />submic[ed to the Archicec[ for reyiew and approv:il a[ least 14
<br />days prior to execution. The Owner shall not request certifica-
<br />tions that would require knowledge or services beyond the
<br />scope of Ehis Agreemenc.
