ORDINANCE NO. 94-4 PAGE TWO 11 Any damage to propertv caused by the signs must be repaired upon removal. 12 Only the signs which are of candidates which are on the ballot for electors in the Village of Mavfield shall be permitted to be located within the Village. 13 Candidates are personally responsible to keeb a constant watch on their signs and to maintain said signs in good condition, and their continual compliance with this code. 14 At the time a candidate or his/her representative takes out permits for political signs, thev shall sign a receipt indicating they have received a coAv of the Codified Ordinances pertaining to political sign reaulations Anv violation of this Ordinance shall cause notice from the Building Commissioner's office to the candidate, who shall correct the violation immediately, but not more than seventv- two hours from the time of the notification. Thereafter, the Buildinct Commissioner shall have the authority to remove such signs and place them ...__,in the Service Garage. At such time, the candidate shall forfeit One Dollar and Fifty Cents ($1.50) . for each sign so confiscated, out of his/her deposit. * * * SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall become effective upon its adoption by Council and signature of the Mayor, or as may otherwise be provided for in law.
