ORDINANCE NO. 94-9 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND DIRECTOR <br />OF FINANCE TO PURCHASE A SHARP SF-2060 PHOTOCOPYING <br />MACHINE FROM OHIO BUSINESS MACHINES, INC. <br />WHEREAS, the Village has advertised pursuant to law for a new <br />photocopy machine; and <br />WHEREAS, several bids had been received, and the lowest and <br />best bid for the most efficient and productive piece of equipment <br />was that of Ohio Business Machines, Inc. for a Sharp SF-2060 <br />machine for an amount not to exceed Sixteen Thousand One Hundred <br />Sixteen and 90/100 Dollars ($16,116.90); and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Finance Committee to <br />purchase the aforementioned piece of equipment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor and Director of Finance are hereby <br />and herein authorized and directed to enter into an agreement for <br />the purchase from Ohio Business Machines, Inc. of a Sharp SF-2060 <br />copy machine, with a stapler sorter, Sharp SF-S53, for an amount <br />not to exceed Sixteen Thousand One Hundred Sixteen and 90/100 <br />Dollars ($16,116.90). <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance <br />have been taken at open meetings -of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and <br />welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, and for the <br />further reasons set forth in the preamble hereof.
