- • • Ma3dield Village Creative Microsystems, Inc. <br />GENERAL HARDWARE NOTES . <br />EXPANSION <br />The system can be expanded by adding more physical ports, expanding the number of users on the Pick <br />Reladonal Database License, and by adding the desired peripherals to the system. Disk expansion and back up <br />altematives are also possible. <br />HARDWARE MAINTENANCE & WARRANTY <br />Unless otherwise stated, a one year on-site warranty has been provided for the cost indicated. CMI strongly <br />recommends on-site service from IBM or CMI for all critical system components. Second year prices are listed <br />for budgeting purposes. <br />SYSTEM SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE <br />CMI has included the cost of system software maintenance for the operating system and database software in <br />the application software detail page of this agreement. CMI strongly recommends contracted support for system <br />software to ensure that the CUSTOMER maintai.ns current releases of operating soflware and updates. This <br />support can also be provided by CMI on a"time and materials" basis which is billed at the then current non- <br />contract support rate, which is currently $65 per hour. Jet Forms Processing, Compusheet+, and other system <br />software are also supported by CMI on a"time and materials" basis or via a software support contract. <br />INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS <br />Installation includes the delivery, setup, testing and connection of all peripheral devices included above. It does <br />not include the cost to "run" the cable to user locations within the building(s) and between the buildings. The <br />"running" of cable, provision for a common ground, dedicated electrical service, a telephone line with an RJ11 <br />adapter for the modem and any building alterations are the direct responsibility of the CUSTOMER. CMI has <br />included a standazd amount of cable in this agreement however, requirements for additional footage and/or <br />plenum coded cable aze outside of this agreement and must be determined prior to installation. <br />EXISTING EQUIPMENT <br />It is the CUSTOMER'S responsibility to inform CMI of any existing equipment which will be incorporated into <br />the configuration of this system. Failure to do so may result in inadequate system configuration. Any additional <br />costs associated with making existing equipment compatible with system or operating system proposed is also <br />the direct responsibility of the CUSTOMER. <br />SUBSTITUTIONS <br />CMI reserves the right to recommend substitutions for items that are enhanced or discontinued prior to <br />placement of order and/or contract execudon. <br />11
