ORDINANCE NO. 94-34 (As amended) <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING SECTION 1185.10(d) OF THE CODIFIED <br />ORDINANCES RELATIVE TO PERMIT FEES FOR THE <br />ERECTION OF CERTAIN SIGNS. <br />WHEREAS, the Village Council deems it in the best interest of <br />the health, safety and welfare of all the Village residents to <br />amend Section 1185.10(d) with regards to permit fees charged for <br />the erection of certain signs in that the amendment will encourage <br />the voluntary removal of signs that are no longer needed for <br />certain purposes. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That Section 1185.10(d) of the Codified Ordinances <br />of the Village of Mayfield, Ohio as presently drafted and is hereby <br />and herein repealed in its entirety and, is amended, in its <br />entirety, as follows: <br />1185.10 PERMIT AND REVIEW FEES. <br />? * * <br />(d) A permit fee of Three Two Dollars ($3.99) 2.00 shall <br />be charged for each temporary development, real estate or political <br />sign permitted in a U-1, U-2, U-3 or U-3 AA zoning district. This <br />permit fee shall not apply to garage sales.signs as permitted in <br />Section 1185.12(h). <br />In addition to permit fees there shall be placed a cash <br />deposit of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) to insure compliance of <br />all political signs permit issued in any zoning district. Deposits <br />shall be refunded upon continual compliance with all applicable <br />regulations. Failure to comply shall result in forfeiture of the <br />entire deposit. <br />SECTION 2. That all other ordinances of the Village of <br />Mayfield, Ohio shall remain as presently drafted unless <br />inconsistent with this amendment. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds'and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance <br />have been taken at open meetings' of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />c2>
