29 Regional Dwelling Hosue Code 1321.04 <br />(4) Any lot on a.nother street which adjoi.n.s the premises on such other <br />street; or <br />(5) Any lot, any part of the street line frontage of which is across such <br />other street from the premises or from a lot referred to in subparagraph <br />(c)(4), (Ord. 1055. Passed 5-20-68. ) <br />RDHC 1523.04 Backfill Over rooting Drains. (Amended) <br />The backfill over footing drains shall be pervious material classified as a <br />grated washed gravel and shall not be closer than eighteen inches of the <br />established surface grade. The remaining eighteen inches shall be filled with <br />suitable material to allow growth of gras and plantings. If the surface <br />adjacent to the foundation wall is to be paved or have some similar treatment, <br />then the backfill near the top may be a suitable base for such construction. <br />(Ord. 88-26. Passed 8-15-88.) <br />RDHC 1527.03 Bathroom. (Amended) <br />Each dwelling unit shall conta.in at least a water closet, lavatory and tub or <br />stall shower in a room or rooms i.n which the fixtures shall be arra.nged so as to <br />provide at least 90 degree door swingo <br />In a.ll showers and over all bathtubs, there shall be installed an approved water- <br />proof finish wall, not less tha.n six feet above the floor, consisting of a scratch coat <br />of Portland cement plaster not less tha.n five-eights inch thick integrally water - <br />proofed and applied on metal lath. The metal lath shall be securely nailed to <br />each stud at six inch i.ntervals or less. When metal lath is not backed with rock <br />lath, the studs shall be covered with a water resistinb covering equali.ng 15 <br />pound asphalt saturated felt, applied shingle style. After the scratch coat has <br />dried, a beddi.ng coat shall be applied. of Portland cement or other waterproof <br />adhesive materials, approved by the Building Inspector. There shall also be <br />i.nstalled in all bathrooms a.n.d lavatories a.n approved concrete floor, consisti.ng <br />of Portland cement, not less tha.n three-fourths inch thickness, integrally water- <br />proofed, a.nd applied on metal lath with a water resisting underlayment equal to <br />15 pounds asphalt saturated felt. The metal lath shall be securely nailed at <br />six-inch intervals or less. <br />(Ord. 1050. Passed 4-15-68. ) <br />RDHC 1553.02 Detached Garages. (Amended) <br />(c) Wood-Frame Construction. A one-story garage, more than ten feet from <br />the dwelling, built of wood frame construction, shall comply with <br />construction requirements for one-story dwellings with the following <br />exceptions: <br />(1) Bottom of footings of frame garages shall be twelve inches wide and <br />not less than thirty-six inches below finished grade. <br />(2) Studs shall have a spacing of not more than sixteen inches o.c. <br />Doubling of studs shall be required on jamb openings three feet, six <br />inches wide or more. <br />(3) Sheathing shall be one-half inch CDX plywood only covered by a <br />minimum 15 # felt building paper. <br />1994 Replacement
