t ORDINANCE NO. 93-~7 <br />- INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING SECTION 1333.01(a) OF THE CODIFIED <br />ORDINANCES OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, PERTAINING <br />TO THE ADOPTION OF THE 1993 EDITION OF THE NATIONAL <br />ELECTRICAL CODE SO AS TO INCORPORATE IN SAID SECTION <br />ALL AMENDMENTS TO THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, <br />REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. Section 1333.01(a) of the Codified Ordinances of <br />Mayfield Village, Ohio, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />CHAPTER 1333 <br />National Electrical Code <br />1333.01 Adoption; Enforcement <br />(a) EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1993, there is hereby adopted <br />by Council that certain Code known as the 1993 Edition of the <br />National Electrical Code and Article 700 of the National Fire <br />Protection Association, as the same are now constituted and as <br />amended from time-to-time. <br />SECTION 2. All prior Ordinances inconsistent with this <br />Ordinance, in whole or in part, are repealed to the extent <br />necessary to avoid conflict with this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and <br />welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, and for the <br />further reasons set forth in the preamble hereof. It shall, <br />therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the <br />affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to <br />Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time <br />allowed by law. <br /> <br />tz.~ ~°~ <br />JO E CINCO, <br />C u cil President <br />
