ORDINANCE NO. 93- 10 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO <br />PURCHASE TWO (2) 1993 POLICE CRUISERS FROM <br />32 FORD-MERCURY, INC. UNDER THE STATE'S <br />COOPERATIVE PURCHASE PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, formal advertisement and bidding is not required if <br />purchases are made through the State's Cooperative Purchase <br />Program; and <br />WHEREAS, by taking advantage of the State's Cooperative <br />Purchase Program extremely beneficial prices have been obtained on <br />the purchase of two (2) 1993 police cruisers, and by reason <br />thereof, the Mayor is authorized to purchase same as indicated <br />hereinafter. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby and herein authorized and <br />directed to purchase two (2) 1993 Ford Crown Victoria (police <br />special) four door sedans, as per State specifications, and <br />pursuant to the State's Cooperative Purchase Program, from 32 Ford- <br />Mercury, Inc. located at 610 West Main Street, Batavia, Ohio, for <br />an amount not to exceed Twelve Thousand Five Hundred Dollars <br />~- ($12,500.00) per unit, for a total purchase price of Twenty Five <br />Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00). <br />SECTION 2. The Director of Finance is authorized and directed <br />to make payment for said vehicles out of the appropriate fund of <br />the Village of Mayfield. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and <br />welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, and for the <br />further reasons set forth in the preamble hereof. It shall, <br />therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the <br />affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to <br />Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time <br />allowed by law. <br />r <br />.~ <br />
