ORDINANCE NO. 93-11 <br />~~~ INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO <br />PURCHASE A 1993 CHEVROLET BLAZER FROM JACK <br />MAXTON CHEVROLET, INC. UNDER THE STATE'S <br />COOPERATIVE PURCHASE PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, formal advertisement and bidding is not required if <br />purchases are made through the State's Cooperative Purchase <br />Program; and <br />WHEREAS,. by taking advantage of the State's Cooperative <br />Purchase Program extremely beneficial prices have been obtained on <br />the purchase of one (1) 1993 Chevrolet Blazer, and by reason <br />thereof, the Mayor is authorized to purchase same as indicated <br />hereinafter. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby and herein authorized and <br />directed to purchase one (1) 1993 Chevrolet Blazer as per State <br />specifications, and pursuant to the State's Cooperative Purchase <br />Program, from Jack Maxton Chevrolet, Inc., located at 5085 Sinclair <br />Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229, for a base purchase price in the <br />^~` approximate sum of Seventeen Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Dollars <br />($17,250.00). <br />SECTION 2. The Director of Finance is authorized and directed <br />to make payment for said vehicle out of the appropriate fund of the <br />Village of Mayfield. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place .in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and <br />welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, and for the <br />further reasons set forth in the preamble hereof. It shall, <br />therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the <br />affirmative vote of not less than. five (5) members elected to <br />Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time <br />allowed by law. y,~ ~ ' <br />J N E CINCO, <br />ou cil President <br />
