ORDINANCE NO. 93-1g INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 105.03 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES RELATIVE TO THE PURCHASE OF PUBLIC RECORDS WHEREAS, there has been a discrepancy as to the charge per page for public records, and it is Council's desire that a member of public should only be charged Twenty-Five Cents ($ .25) for a one or two-sided copy; and WHEREAS, it is the intention of Council to provide for copies of minutes from Council meetings, Council agendas, Ordinances and Resolutions, free of charge, upon request, to all current and former members of Council, as well as to all current and former Mayors. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. That Section 105.03(c) of the Codified Ordinances is hereby and herein amended to read as follows: 105.03 PROCEDURE. ~ ~ ~ (c) Copies of any requested documents, reports or records shall be made available to the requesting party at the following costs: (11) For all current and former Mayors, and for all current and former members of Council, upon request, copies of all agendas, public hearings ordinances, resolutions, committee meeting minutes, or any public body minutes, at no charge. Fees are payable in advance. Should a purchaser request that items be mailed then a charge shall be assessed to cover prevailing postal rates in effect at the time. For purposes of this subsection, a 1°page" includes both a one and two-sided document. A person will be charged Twenty-Five Cents per page, regardless if it is a one or two-sided document. SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
