ORDINANCE NO. 93-1g <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING SECTION 105.03 OF THE CODIFIED <br />ORDINANCES RELATIVE TO THE PURCHASE OF PUBLIC RECORDS <br />WHEREAS, there has been a discrepancy as to the charge per <br />page for public records, and it is Council's desire that a member <br />of public should only be charged Twenty-Five Cents ($ .25) for a <br />one or two-sided copy; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention of Council to provide for copies <br />of minutes from Council meetings, Council agendas, Ordinances and <br />Resolutions, free of charge, upon request, to all current and <br />former members of Council, as well as to all current and former <br />Mayors. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That Section 105.03(c) of the Codified Ordinances <br />is hereby and herein amended to read as follows: <br />105.03 PROCEDURE. <br />~ ~ ~ <br />(c) Copies of any requested documents, reports or <br />records shall be made available to the requesting <br />party at the following costs: <br />(11) For all current and former Mayors, and <br />for all current and former members of Council, <br />upon request, copies of all agendas, public <br />hearings ordinances, resolutions, committee <br />meeting minutes, or any public body minutes, <br />at no charge. <br />Fees are payable in advance. Should a purchaser <br />request that items be mailed then a charge shall be <br />assessed to cover prevailing postal rates in effect at <br />the time. <br />For purposes of this subsection, a 1°page" includes <br />both a one and two-sided document. A person will be <br />charged Twenty-Five Cents per page, regardless if it is <br />a one or two-sided document. <br />SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />
