ORDINANCE NO. 93-21 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING THE WARD BOUNDARIES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE AND CREATING NEW CHAPTER 125 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES ESTABLISHING A WARD BOUNDARY MAP. WHEREAS, Article 12 Section 8 of the Charter of Mayfield Village mandates that the Council shall adjust ward boundaries after receipt of certification of 'the results of the decennial census and may thereafter adjust .ward boundaries of population that merit the change; and WHEREAS., pursuant to the results of the 1990 Census, the Village Council has deemed it necessary pursuant to the mandates of the Village Charter to adjust the ward boundaries. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. That pursuant to Article 12 Section 8 of the Village Charter Council hereby and herein amends the Mayfield Village ward boundaries as is set forth in the description and map drafted by the Village engineer which is attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A. SECTION 2. That the Codified Ordinances of Mayfield Village are hereby and herein amended by creating new chapter 125 entitled Ward Boundary Map, and new Section 125.01 which shall read as follows: 125.01 WARD BOUNDARY MAP. There is hereby established a Ward Boundary Map to show at all times the Village's current ward boundaries. The Ward Boundary Map shall be prepared and kept on file in the Village Hall and shall be maintained as well by the Village engineer. A copy of the Ward Boundary Map existing as of the date of the passage of this ordinance shall be incorporated in this chapter as Appendix A. SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
