ORDINANCE NO. 93- 24 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT <br />WITH PAVEMENT TECHNOLOGY, INC. FOR ASPHALT <br />STREET SEALING <br />WHEREAS, the Village has advertised for bids pursuant to law <br />for asphalt street sealing throughout the Village; and <br />WHEREAS, sealed bids were received and analyzed by the <br />Engineer, and the lowest and best bid being determined to be that <br />of Pavement Technology, Inc. for the sum of Twenty One Thousand Six <br />Hundred Thirty Dollars ($21,630.00). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby and herein authorized and <br />directed to enter into an agreement with.Pavement Technology, Inc. <br />for an amount not to exceed Twenty One Thousand Six Hundred Thirty <br />Dollars ($21, 630.00) , as and for asphalt street sealing pursuant to <br />the terms and conditions set forth in the advertisement for bids, <br />the bid specifications, and the bid of the contractor, and in a <br />format prepared by the Engineer and approved by the Law Director. <br />SECTION 2. The Director of Finance is authorized to make <br />payment for the aforementioned services in an amount not to exceed <br />Twenty One Thousand Six Hundred Thirty Dollars ($21,630.00) out of <br />the appropriate account of the Village. <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section.121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and <br />welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, and for the <br />further reasons set forth in the preamble hereof.
