ORDINANCE NO. 93-27 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO <br />PURCHASE ONE (1) 1993 ONE AND ONE-HALF TON <br />CAB AND CHASSIS MODEL 4700 INTERNATIONAL TRUCK <br />WHEREAS, the Village has advertised pursuant to law for a new <br />1993 one and one-half ton cab with dump body, central hydraulic <br />system, and power angle snow plow; and <br />WHEREAS, the lowest and best bid is that of Lake Truck Sales <br />and Service, Inc. at 431 Richmond Street, Painesville, Ohio, for <br />the sum of Forty Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($40,500.00). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby and herein authorized and <br />directed to enter into an agreement for the purchase of one (1) <br />1993 one and one-half ton cab and chassis, Model 4700 <br />International, with dump body, central hydraulic system and power <br />angle snow plow, for the sum of Forty Thousand Five Hundred Dollars <br />($40,500.00), upon the terms and conditions of the bid submitted by <br />Lake Truck Sales and Service, Inc. on or about March 25, 1993. <br />~~~ SECTION 2. That the Director of Finance is authorized to make <br />payment for same out of the appropriate fund for an amount not to <br />exceed Forty Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($40,500.00). <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and <br />welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, and for the <br />further reasons set forth in the preamble hereof. It shall, <br />therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the <br />affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to <br />Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time <br />allowed by law. <br />~~~~~~ <br />J AI~ E CINCO, <br />C~uricil President <br />
