CONTRACT r THIS CONTRACT, made and entered into this °~G day of August, 1993, by and between the Village of Mayfield, a Municipal Corporation of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, (hereinafter called the "Village") and BFI Waste Systems of Ohio, Inc. (hereinafter called the "Contractor"). W I T N E S E T H: WHEREAS, the Contractor did on the ~~ day of \~'"~, 1993, submit a Proposal to Provide Refuse Collection with n the Village and to perform such work as may be incidental thereto. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the following mutual agreements and covenants, it is understood and agreed by and between the parties hereto as follows: 1. The Contractor is hereby granted the sole and exclusive franchise, license and privilege within the territorial jurisdiction of the Village and shall furnish all personnel, labor, equipment, trucks and all other items necessary to provide refuse collection, removal and disposal service as specified; and to perform all of the work called for and described in the Contract Documents, including all solid waste collection and disposal and recyclable collection and processing as well as all yard waste if elected by the Village. The contract shall be for a three (3) year period beginning August 1, 1993 to August 1, 1996. The initial three (3) year term of this contract shall automatically be extended for two (2) successive additional one (1) year terms, unless the Village notifies the Contractor in writing not less than one hundred twenty (120) days prior to the expiration of the initial three (3) year term or of any successive one (1) year term, of its intention to terminate this Contract. Any such written notice shall be served by certified or registered mail, return receipt requested.
