125.03 ADMINISTRATIVE CODE 26B (5) One member of the Architectural Review Board, as designated by the Mayor. (b) Term. The two citizens appointed by the Mayor shall serve terms of two years each. The Mayor, however, or a majority of Council may remove any citizen so appointed, in their sole discretion, and without cause. (c) Law Director. The Law Department shall have a representative at each meeting. (Ord. 93-15. Passed 3-29-93.) 125.03 COMPENSATION. All members of the Ordinance Review Committee shall serve without compensation. . (Ord. 93-15. Passed 3-29-93.) 125.04 PURPOSE. The Ordinance Review Committee shall adopt its own rules and regulations to govern its activities. The Council President, or his/her designee, shall act as Chairman of the Committee. The Committee shall serve in an advisory capacity to the Mayor and Council on all matters relating to legislative proposals, proposed new ordinances or resolutions, and any items of a legislative nature which come from the office of the Mayor, members of Council, Council as a whole, any department head or employee, or from any citizens group or individual citizens in the Village of Mayfield. Furthermore, the Committee can entertain and discuss legislative amendments that are discovered by the Committee through their own investigation or observation, and there shall be no limitation on the types of legislation that is capable of being reviewed by the Committee. (Ord. 93-15. Passed 3-29-93.) 125.05 MEETINGS. The Ordinance Review Committee shall meet no less than every two months, or as required, with a minimum of six meetings per year. A quorum of three voting members shall be present to conduct the business of any meeting. A majority of the voting members appointed to the Committee shall be necessary in order to make a recommendation to the Mayor and Council on any issue before the Committee. However, the minority members of the Committee may render a minority opinion and recommendation to the Mayor and Council if they so desire. (Ord. 93-15. Passed 3-29-93.) 1993 Replacement
