41 Operation Generally 331.10 <br />(c) Official signs may be erected directing specified traffic to use a designated <br />lane or designating those lanes to be used by traffic moving in a particular <br />direction regardless of the center of the roadway, and drivers of vehicles <br />shall obey the directions of such signs. <br />(d) Official traffic control devices may be installed prohibiting the changing of <br />lanes on sections of roadway and drivers of vehicles shall obey the directions <br />of every such device. (ORC 4511.33) <br />331.09 FOLLOWING TOO CLOSELY. <br />The operator of a motor vehicle shall not follow another vehicle more closely than <br />is reasonable and prudent, having due regard for the speed of such vehicle, and the <br />traffic upon and the condition of the street. (ORC 4511.34) <br />331.10 TURNING AT INTERSECTIONS. <br />The driver of a vehicle intending to turn at an intersection shall be governed by the <br />following rules: <br />(a) Approach for a right turn and a right turn shall be made as close as practicable <br />to the right-hand curb or edge of the roadway. <br />(b) At any intersection where traffic is permitted to move .in both directions on each <br />roadway entering the intersection, an approach for a left turn shall be made in <br />.__ that portion of the right half of the roadway nearest the center line thereof and <br />by passing to the right of such center line where it enters the intersection and <br />after entering the intersection the left turn shall be made so as to leave the <br />intersection to the right of the center line of the roadway being entered. When- <br />ever practicable the left turn shall be made in that portion of the intersection <br />to the left of the center of the intersection. <br />(c) At any intersection where traffic is restricted to one direction on one or more <br />of the roadways, the driver of a vehicle intending to turn left at any such inter- <br />section shall approach the intersection in the extreme left-hand lane lawfully <br />available to traffic moving in the direction of travel of such vehicle, and after <br />entering the intersection the left turn shall be made so as to leave the inter- <br />section, as nearly as practicable, in the left-hand lane of the roadway being <br />entered lawfully available to the traffic moving in that lane. <br />(d) Markers, buttons or signs may be placed within or adjacent to intersections <br />and thereby require and direct that a different course from that specified in <br />this section be traveled by vehicles turning at an intersection, and when such <br />markers, buttons or signs are so placed, no operator of a vehicle shall turn such <br />vehicle at an intersection other than as directed and required by such markers, <br />buttons or signs.
