RESOLUTION NO. 93-22 <br />~~--~ INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION <br />OF COMN~NDATION TO ABC QUILTS OF HAYFIELD <br />WfR;REAS, ABC Quilts is a national organization which began in 1988 <br />to quilt blankets for babies with terminal diseases and needy, and has <br />spread throughout the country, having distributed over one hundred <br />twenty five thousand quilts to needy children; and <br />WHEREAS, the ABC Quilt's program stands for "At Risk Babies Crib <br />Quilts", and was begun in the Mayfield area this past May through the <br />efforts of Patti Ambrogio, and the significant assistance of Lillian <br />"Patsy" Mills, Alice Germane, Susan Steuber, Joan-Pumphrey, and Cathy <br />Schulz; and <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village has donated the use of its Community <br />Center, and tremendous support and cooperation has been exhibited by the <br />Mayfield City Schools and the Mayfield Historical Society, all of whom <br />deserve our recognition, and do hereby receive our sincere commendation <br />for their great efforts. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, <br />OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor, his Administration, and the members of <br />Council, on behalf of the citizens of the Village of Mayfield, do hereby <br />and herein commend the ABC Quilt's organization, the Mayfield City <br />Schools, the Mayfield Historical Society, and specifically do commend <br />the outstanding efforts of Patti Abrogio, Lillian "Patsy" Mills, Alice <br />Germane, Susan Steuber, Joan Pumphrey, and Cathy Schulz, in their <br />efforts on behalf of ABC Quilts, and disadvantaged children in this and <br />other communities. <br />SECTION 2. That the Clerk of Council is directed to certify a copy <br />of this Resolution to ABC Quilts, the Mayfield City Schools, the <br />Mayfield Historical Society and all individuals named herein above. <br />SECTION 4.
