Rinker and Council as.a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION <br />IN MEMORY OF BENTLEY SAUER, JR. <br />WHEREAS, Bentley "Ben" Sauer, Jr. has been an active and <br />outstanding supporter of recreation throughout the Village of Mayfield <br />since 1968, including volunteer support to the Girl's Softball League, <br />Chairmanship of the Girl's Softball League in 1970 through 1973, member <br />of the Recreation Lands Committee in 1970, and Co-Chairman and Master <br />of Ceremonies for the All Star Days in their initial years of 1970 and <br />1971; and <br />WHEREAS, Ben solicited backers for the various teams, motivated <br />others to do so and to achieve more involvement in the recreation <br />program of the Village, and through his vast experience and knowledge, <br />was able to promote an outstanding baseball program in the Village of <br />Mayfield; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Sauer's congeniality, humor, and general good nature <br />will.. be. sorely missed by. all, and particularly missed by the children <br />of this Village. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, <br />OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor, his administration, and the Council as <br />a whole, on behalf of the residents in the Village of Mayfield, do <br />hereby and herein commend Bentley Sauer, Jr. for his outstanding and <br />continuous efforts on behalf of recreation in the Village of Mayfield, <br />and do hereby express our sincere appreciation as well as condolences <br />to his family from his many friends at Village Hall and throughout the <br />community. <br />SECTION 2. This Resolution shall become effective upon its <br />adoption by Council and signature of the Mayor, and a certified copy <br />hereof shall be delivered to Marilynn by the C1~~3 0 0 cil. <br />~., <br />PASSED• pctob.er 18 1993 <br />
