<br />~M~7£TEr~t ~TXIM~C <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93- 35' <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bruce G. Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />A.RESOLUTION OF COMI~NDATION <br />IN MEMORY OF HOWARD C. SCHULZ <br />WHEREAS, Howard C. Schulz was born in Mayfield Village eighty-one <br />years ago, and remained an active resident in the Village until just <br />several years before his death; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Schulz has been known for his initial years of service <br />as an employee at the Mayfield Township Hall and the Mayfield United <br />Methodist Church, and as a sexton at community cemeteries; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Schulz was known nationwide for his riding club <br />stables, his museum of carriages which related to his advertising <br />business, and his teaching of horsemanship at Hawken School and Gilmour <br />Academy; and <br />WHEREAS, Howard also was a special deputy sheriff in the mounted <br />unit for twenty-five years, a charter member of the Mayfield Village <br />Volunteer Fire-Department;' and a former constable for the Township; and <br />WHEREAS, in his later years Howard served as a member of the <br />Village Commission on Aging, and as a participant in the Geauga County <br />Humane Society where he helped injured animals regain their strength and <br />survive. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, <br />OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor, his administration, and the members of <br />Council as a whole, on behalf of the residents of Village of Mayfield, <br />do hereby commend Howard C. Schulz for his contributions to the Village <br />and the community as a whole throughout his many fruitful years of life. <br />SECTION 2. The Mayor and Council do also <br />appreciation and condolences to his wife Evelyn <br />to her this commendation in Howard's memory. <br />SECTION 3.
