Ordinance No. 92- 09 Page 11 <br />(C) Information to Be Obtained an Maintained <br />Where base flood elevation data are utilized within <br />areas of special flood hazard on a community's <br />Flood Insurance Rate Map, regardless of the source <br />of such data, the following provisions apply: <br />(1) Obtain and record the actual elevation (in <br />relation to mean sea level) of the lowest <br />.floor, including basement, of all new or <br />substantially improved structures, and whether <br />or not such structures contain an enclosure <br />below the lowest floor. <br />(2) For all new or substantially-improved <br />floodproofed nonresidential structures: <br />(i) verify and record the actual <br />elevation (in relation to mean sea <br />level) to which the structure was <br />floodproofed; and <br />(ii) maintain the floodproofing <br />certifications required in Section <br />1375.11-f-E}~~. <br />(3) Maintain for public inspection all records <br />pertaining to the provisions of this Chapter. <br />(D) Alteration of Watercourses <br />(1) Notify adjacent communities and the Ohio <br />Department of Natural Resources, Division of <br />Water, prior to any alteration or relocation <br />of a watercourse, and submit evidence of such <br />notification to the Federal Emergency <br />Management Agency. A watercourse is <br />considered to be altered if any change occurs <br />within its banks. <br />(2) Maintain engineering documentation required in <br />Section 1375.11 (4) that the flood carrying <br />capacity of the altered or relocated portion <br />of said watercourse will not be diminished. <br />(3) Require that necessary maintenance will be <br />provided for the altered or relocated portion <br />of said watercourse so that the flood carrying <br />capacity will not be diminished. <br />
