ORDINANCE NO. 92-16 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Pietrafese and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO <br />AN AGREEMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF A <br />BREATHING AIR COMPRESSOR FROM <br />NORCO EQUIPMENT COMPANY <br />WHEREAS, the Village has advertised pursuant to law for bids <br />for a breathing air compressor system; and <br />WHEREAS, the lowest and best bid was that of Norco Equipment <br />Company for the sum of Nineteen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars <br />($19,500.00) for a complete air system; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of Council to award the contract to <br />Norco Equipment Company of North Royalton, Ohio, for a sum not to <br />exceed Nineteen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($19,500.00) for one <br />Ingersoll-Rand Breathing Air Compressor. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby and herein authorized and <br />directed to enter into an agreement for the purchase of one <br />Ingersoll-Rand Breathing Air Compressor from Norco Equipment <br />Company at 9841 York-Theta Drive, North Royalton, Ohio, for a sum <br />not to exceed Nineteen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($19,500.00) <br />for use by the Village Fire Department. <br />SECTION 2. The Director of Finance is authorized to make <br />payment to the above mentioned company for a sum not to exceed <br />Nineteen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($19,500.00). <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in <br />such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 4. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the health, safety and <br />welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason <br />to encourage commercial development within Mayfield Village. It <br />shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon the passage by the <br />affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to <br />Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time <br />allowed by law. <br />
